We are being inundated with enquiries regarding the current status of our Impact Spods, so we felt it was only right to issue an official statement so that everyone knows the state of play.
When we revealed our design back in February we were just about to enter the final intense stage of testing, which involved issuing samples of the Impact’s to a host of our consultants across the UK and Europe.
Due to the fact that we needed our consultants to test them to destruction on the lakes they were fishing, we knew we wouldn’t be able to keep the product a secret any longer and therefore we opted to tell the world about our product sooner than we normally would like.
In addition to this final testing stage, we had also signed the exclusive license agreement with Spomb Fishing Ltd, which meant that we needed to make a press release to the angling trade to make them aware of this deal, again meaning that we needed to show our design sooner than we normally would during the testing stage.
During those final stages of testing we managed to identify a couple areas that we felt could be improved. Whilst the product was 95% correct that final 5% just wasn’t right and therefore we were not happy to sign off the product and put it into mass production, as we didn’t want our valued customers ending up with products that were not 100%.
We now believe that we have corrected that final 5% but need to subject the latest versions to a thorough testing period to ensure they perform exactly how we want them to. We will have samples being tested by our consultant team across Europe who will be instructed to test them to maximum in a whole host of conditions.
At this stage we cannot give a firm date when the finished product will arrive in shops, but we are hopeful it will be by the end of the summer. We are very sorry for this delay and appreciate that many of you are keen to get your hands on the Impact’s but we would rather have unhappy customers that want our products but cannot get them, than customers who part with their hard-earned money for products that are not to our exacting standards.
